Control Specialties
I started working for this lovely company in 2017 and did quite a few projects with them since then. These projects included characters/caricatures creations, with an array of expressions and positions, product illustrations, background illustrations, logo design, gif of company logo, Power Points for their Youtube channel, design email background, and consultations.
Control Specialties already had their own brand and look when I meet them. I just added some fun to it! They wanted to introduce some illustrative parts to their logo so we settled on taking their tagline of "finding things" into a magnifying glass.
I later turned this into a quick gif!
So after, we started to look into the idea of personalizing their about page and wanted to start a Youtube channel. We came up with the idea of little characters that not only looked like the team, but can be the avatar on their channel.
Below is our finalized character!
After, we started to branch out into making him more alive with expressions and movements.
We started off with Mr. Ed! On the right, you can see my process of taking Mr. Ed's characters and translating them into 2 different art styles. Each style is displaying each stage of the progress as well going from line art to flat colors and finally to shading.
Finally, we made a character for each member of the team!
For each member of the team, we went through the same process of gathering reference photos and creating them all in the same artistic style as Mr. Ed, so everyone looked cohesive.

Below is my most recent collaboration with Control Specialties, where we designed some cover pages for the Build Back Better promotion. They had envision these pieces going on their Specials and Promotions page on their web site, along with a brochure and an email campaign using the same designs.
